Day 9: Farewell to Deacon Connie

After returning from Tela, we gathered for a vigil Eucharist, using bread left from our sandwich project as a connection to our work here. Joining us was Deacon Connie and her family.

Deacon Connie presented each member of the group with a cross made from horseshoe nails - they are beautiful and thoughtful gifts to take back from this experience, and a symbol of our new connection with Cristo Redentor.
