Day 5: Work in Progress

Today we built two more pews (we're up to 9) and began priming and staining them. We also sanded the walls and primed the upstairs Sunday school room we cleared out yesterday. Vacation Bible school continued with more Noah-centered activities, plus singing (in English and Spanish), art projects, snacks, and tons of laughter. Most of the children in attendance at the VBS are from a local home for abandoned children, and it has been a true delight to get to know them. Despite being the middle day of the project, this was no "hump" day--the energy and committment from everyone in the group remained very high.
